GOD'S GRIEF

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth

say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will,

let him take the water of life freely. Revelation 17

And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the

Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger,

and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. Who knoweth

if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him;

even a meat-offering and a drink-offering unto the Lord your God?

Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn

assembly: Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble

the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts:

let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of

her closet. Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep

between the porch and the alter, and let them say, Spare thy

people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the

heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among

the people, Where is their God? Joel 2

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of

heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. For

all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye

receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. He that hath

ears to hear, let him hear. John 11

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto

wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith

the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he

thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of

fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with
