My
Will, My Will, My WillThe
Father, The Son, The Holy Ghost
“ Of his own will
begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a
kind of first fruits
of his creatures. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let
every man be swift
to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath
of man worketh not
the righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all
filthiness and superfluity
of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the
engrafted word, which is
able to save your souls.”
(James 1: 18-21)
“Wherefore when
he (The Lord Jesus Christ) cometh into the world, he
saith, Sacrifice and
offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou
prepared me: In burnt
offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast
had no
pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is
written
of me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and
offering
and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest
not, neither hadst
pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
Then said he, Lo, I come
to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first,
that he may establish the
second. By which will we are sanctified through
the offering of the body
of Jesus Christ once, for all. And every
priest standeth daily ministering
and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices,
which can never take away
sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice
for sins for ever,
sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecciting
till his
enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected
for
ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is
a witness
to us: for after that he had said before, This is the
covenant that I will
make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will
put my laws into
their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And
their sins an
iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of
these is,
there is no more offering for sin. “
(Hebrews 10: 5-18)
Moreover I (Peter) will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease
to have these things always in rememberance. For we have not followed
cunningly
devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and
coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
For he received from
God the Father honor and glory, when there came
such a voice to him from
the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in
whom I am well pleased. And
this voice which came from heaven we
heard, when we were with him in the
holy mount. We have also a more
sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well
that ye take heed, as unto
a light that shineth in a dark place, until the
day dawn, and the day star
arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that
no prophecy of the scripture
is of any private interpretation. For th eprophecy
came not in old time by
the will of man: but holy men of God spake as
they were moved by the
Holy Ghost.”
(II Peter 1: 15-21)
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath
blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world
that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having
predestinated
us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself,
according to
the good pleasure of his will,
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us
accepted
in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood,
the forgiveness
of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherin he
hath abounded toward
us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made
known unto us the mystery of his
will, according to his good pleasure
which he hath purposed in himself: That
in the dispensation of the fullness
of times he might gather together in
one all things in Christ, both which
are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in
him; In whom also we
have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according
to the
purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own
will:
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in
Christ. In
whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of
truth, the gospel of
your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed,
ye were sealed with
that holy Sprit of promise, Which is th eearnest of our
inheritance until the
redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise
of his Glory.
(Ephesians 1: 3-14)
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I am a purchased possession, a blood-bought
sealed
by the Holy Ghost, living, redeemed soul. As thou came to do Thy
Fathers
will, let my will be Thy will, my life Thy life, my all Thy all in Thy
name,
I pray earnestly, thankfully, lovingly for Thy glory, grace, honor,
power,
knowledge, provision, might, majesty and wealth. Amen.
