Cursed
Are the Unbelievers
"But this people
who knoweth not the law are cursed,"
(John 7: 49)
This saying was made
by the rulers and Pharisees to the officers that
came to take The L ord
Jesus Christ, and deliver Him unto them. "And
some
of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him."
(John 7:44)
"Who hath believed
our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord
revealed? For he shall
grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a
root out of a dry ground:
he hath no form or comeliness; and when we
shall see Him, there is no
beauty that we should desire him. He is
despised and rejected of men; a
man of sorrows, and acquainted with
grief; and we hid as it were our faces
from him; he was despised, and
we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne
our griefs, and carried our
Sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten
of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded
for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities; the chastisement
of our peace was upon him; and with his
stripes we are healed. All we like
sheep have gone astray; we have
turned every one to his own way; and the
L ord hath laid on him the
iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was
afflicted, yet he opened
not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep
before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
He was taken
from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation?
For he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgressions
of
my people he was stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and
with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was
any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he
hath put
him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering
for sin, he shall
see his seed, he shall prolong his days,
and the pleasure of the Lord
shall prosper in her hand. He shall see the
travail of his soul, and shall be
satisfied: by his knowledge shall
my righteous servant justify many; for
he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore
will I divide him a portion with the
great, and he shall divide
the spoil with the strong; because he hath
poured his soul unto death: and
he was numbered with the
transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and
made intercession for
the transgressors.”
(Isaiah 53)
“And as Moses
lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the
Son of man be
lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have
eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave his
only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting
life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn
the world; but
that the world through him might be saved. He that
believeth on him is
not condemned: but he that believeth not is
condemned already, because
he hath not believed in the name of the
only begotten Son of God. And this
is the condemnation, that light is
come unto the world, and men loved darkness
rather than light, because
their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth
evil hateth the light,
neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should
be reproved. But he that
doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds
may be made manifest,
that they are wrought in God.”
(John 3: 14-21)
Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
Thou art the sinless, virgin born, Holy Ghost
conceived Son of The Living
God. Thou hast died for my sins, and the
sins of the world. Come unto my
heart, it has repented of its sin, and
by faith, save my soul, and give
me eternal life. I ask this prayer in Thy
holy name. Cover me with Thy
Blood which was shed for the remission
of sin, for without the shedding
of blood there is no remission. “Saying,
this is the blood of the
testament which God hath enjoined into you.”
(Hebrews 9: 20)
Receive me into thy kingdom by repentance and faith. In thy name, I
pray,
