Blame Noah

Noah planted a vineyard and drank of the wine thereof and was drunken

within

his tent.

What happened?

His son Ham saw the nakedness of his father and did something about it,

and told his two brothers about it.

Wow!

They covered their shoulders with a garment and went in backwards and

covered

the nakedness of their father and left, and saw not the nakedness of

their father.

Noah awoke!

And knew what his younger son had done unto him,

and immediately

right then cursed the son.

Making his children servants forever to his brothers.

Did the children take it lightly?

No way.

They would get around the curse somehow.

How?

Naturally, by building a tower which would reach unto heaven with

their alter on the top of it.

Did God like this defiance?

No, indeed not!

He came down and confounded their speech so that they could not

understand one another. So, the children of Ham gave up building the

tower, which today is called the Tower of Babel .

The curse, however, has remained.

Blame Noah.

For three things the earth is disquieted, and for four which it cannot

bear: For a servant when he reigneth; and a fool when he is filled with

meat; For an odious woman when she is married; and an handmaid that

is heir to her mistress.

(Proverbs 30: 21-23)
